As well as looking at more conventional subjects, such as French landscape painting and Post-Impressionists, the Barber's friendly team of guides have chosen some slightly more off-the-wall themes to explore as they lead visitors around the painting, sculpture and museum objects of the Barber's collection.

This lecture will be given by Professor Stuart West of the University of Oxford. Professor West is an evolutionary biologist whose main interest is the evolution of social behaviours, such as cooperation, altruism, spite, mutualism, parasite virulence and sex allocation. He uses a mixture of techniques including theory, experiment and across species comparative studies.
This lunchtime concert will be performed by Sarah -Jane Bradley on viola with Anthony Hewitt on piano. The concert will include works by Mendelssohn, Martinu and Prokofiev.

This seminar will explore the skills and techniques of chairing overview and scrutiny committees or panels. It will also examine what scrutiny chairs need to do before, during and after scrutiny events.
